Check eligibility
All approvals are at the final discretion of the Swamp Corps Program Director, based on what will best serve Swamp Corps' mission and core values for the host community.
- You are at least 14 at the time of travel. Traveling with a parent? Then camp age applies, which is 9 to 18.
- Counselors: you have been to a Swamp Camp for at least one week, or you have special permission from the Director. Ask him. Campers and other volunteers do not need Swamp Camp experience.
- You are mature enough to work on a team in an extremely selfless, giving environment.
- Skills count and are weighed case by case: counseling, nursing, lifeguarding, special experience.
- Priority goes to people from a place that supports the destination, so the relationship between the two keeps going.
- Counselors pass a background check and need a letter of recommendation from their ministry leader on file for the current year.

Choose your role
17–30
Counselor
You have been a Christian for at least six months and you want to spend 24 hours a day giving to campers. Single, married or in college.
14–18
Camper
Travel on your own from 14. Coming with a parent? Then camp age applies, which is 9 to 18.
17+
Volunteer
Help the camp run: setup, serving, medical staff. No Swamp Camp experience needed.

- The fee includes flight, camp fee, lodging, most meals, transportation and any excursions.
- Allow at least $150 for uncovered meals and souvenirs.
- Counselors must be at least a junior in high school.
- Campers aged 9 to 13 must be accompanied by a parent.
