Bridging Gaps

S.C.M.A. (pronounced “schema”) is a sister organization to Camp Swamp that partners with God & the older generation in order to establish a perennial camp that provides a space for the next generation to discover their place within the Kingdom of God.

S.C.M.A. is looking for partners, especially within the older generation (camp alumni, parents, churches, small groups, mission societies, and the like) to invest resources to fill the gaps, so that the younger generation may learn to experience God’s love, live out Jesus’ teachings, and pass them on.

Here’s a look at the present-day needs, an existing innovative and impactful process, and what’s necessary to see it thrive through partnership:

What are the gaps?

3Needs we have discovered in churches worldwide:

  1. The Generation Gap is wide & bridges are needed
  2. The youth need to experience God rather than just hear about him
  3. The younger generation desires a place of belonging

How can we fill the gaps?

S.C.M.A. provides a new model that:

  1. AGives the Older Generation a legacy opportunity allowing the Next Generation to experience God’s kingdom while serving others and passing on Jesus’ teaching
  2. BCreates spaces for children worldwide to experience a place of belonging and learning
  3. COffers missional leadership experience and training that raises up the next generation

Swamp Camp can definitely change lives, and I am proof of it.

– Maria C., Nicaragua

“No words can explain how much camp means to us. It’s always been the place we feel the most free to express ourselves without the fear of feeling out of place. It’s been a place where we have, on numerous occasions, rediscovered our love for God.”
