Spirit-Led
We believe in balancing times to wait with readiness to act as we keep in step with the Spirit’s direction.
Mission Statement
Partnering with God to Bridge the Generations and Fulfill Psalm 72:5.
How the missions connect
Each has its own mission, suited to its work. Read in order; they are one flow: from the alliance, to the team that goes, to the child at camp.
Resources, governs and scales the work.
Partnering with God to Bridge the Generations and Fulfill Psalm 72:5.
S.C.M.A. gives Swamp Corps the resources, governance and training to go wherever it is invited, uniting the resources of the Older Generation with those of the Younger Generation.
Goes, and starts the camps.
Partnering with God and the Next Generation to establish a perennial Swamp Camp reasonably reached by every child on the planet.
Swamp Corps leaves a perennial camp behind, led by its own community.
The week a child lives.
Partnering with God to create a safe, spiritual space for belonging and learning through play, connection, community, and wonder.
A Swamp Camp gives a child a week of belonging, and a place to come back to every year.
The result all three aim at
“He may endure as long as the sun, as long as the moon, through all generations.”
Psalm 72:5

We believe in balancing times to wait with readiness to act as we keep in step with the Spirit’s direction.

We rely on the power of internal and external partnerships and the strengths and talents of the many versus the few.

We believe our Mission utilizes its short- and long-term benefits as a guiding compass orienting us to Jesus’ Mission.

We are happiest when we see open arms of acceptance, space for new ideas, and resources flowing between generations.
